If it's audience you're looking for

  1. Solcer House

The SOLCER house is a demonstration project, illustrating the potential for buildings to generate their own energy. Ridgemount client BASF is a supporting sponsor of the project and wanted it to get as much attention as possible. Our brief was to work with Cardiff University and research institute SPECIFIC to build those column inches.

Collaboration was the name of the game and we pooled all of our press contacts. Ridgemount wrote technically accurate briefing notes, sorted out photography, liaised with everyone involved and got on the phone. Two weeks of media sell-ins produced the goods: in spades.

Coverage began at 7am on the launch day with a report on BBC Radio 4, followed by BBC Breakfast. Some 40 pieces of coverage followed, including: BBC main evening news; ITV news bulletins 7.30am and 1.30pm; The Guardian; The Independent; Daily Mail; Building; Edie.net; BBC news online Trade press followed with major features in: Building; RIBA Journal; HABM ; PHPD.

Our audience reach - based on quoted audience figures from media outlets - is estimated to be well over 120,000,000 (And we've excluded the difficult-to-verify figures produced by Daily Mail online)

We hope this has helped to raise the profile for a significant step forward in exploring the potential for renewable technologies. You can read about the project here
